YENAGOA-Bight Newspaper reports that Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today inspected the new Commissioners and Legislative quarters in the New Yenagoa city.
He equally inspected the ongoing completion of abandoned civil servants quarters in Okaka, Yenagoa.
Governor Diri expressed satisfaction towards the quality and pace of work.
“One of our main focus in this second tenure is housing. We want to pursue it vigorously.
Whether it’s low income or high income, the houses are meant for our people. After the completion of these ones, we are gearing up to build a new housing estate for Bayelsans.
The Commissioners and Legislative quarters are one of the major signature projects that we would commission in our 5th anniversary. We are building a new and planned Yenagoa city.
I am impressed with the quality and swiftness of the work. It gives me confidence that we can do more projects”, Gov. Diri said.
Among those who accompanied the governor on the inspection tour were Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, ESV Moses Teibowei, Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Barr. Perepuighe Biewari, General Manager, Bayelsa State Housing and Property Development Authority, Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah, and other government officials.
