Keniebi Okoko (Deceased)

YENAGOA-Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has commiserated with the Okoko family of Obunagha community in the Yenagoa Local Government Area over the sudden demise of their son, Mr Keniebi Okoko.

Expressing sympathy on behalf of his family in a condolence message issued on Thursday, Senator Ewhrudjakpo described the passing of Keniebi as tragic and a monumental loss to Bayelsa, the Ijaw nation and Nigeria in general.

According to the Deputy Governor, he received the news of the tragic incident with great shock as he did not have any inkling of ill-health concerning the late Okoko.

Senator Ewhrudjakpo who also described the deceased as a successful entrepreneur, noted that Okoko departed at a time when so many young Bayelsans were looking up to him as a role model both in business and politics.

According to him, as a philanthropist, Keniebi showed love, care and bountiful kindness, not only towards his native Obunagha community, but to all who came across him.

As a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the Deputy Governor pointed out that, late Okoko proved himself as a good party man, who showed unalloyed commitment and loyalty to the PDP right from when he joined the party to his passing.

He stated that, the PDP and the Government of Bayelsa State will deeply miss the bravery, astuteness and support of the 2019 governorship aspirant, who demonstrated true sportsmanship before, during and after the party primaries.

Senator Ewhrudjakpo, therefore, prayed God to grant the Okoko family, Gbarain Clan, the PDP, the people of Bayelsa and the entire Ijaw nation the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
