APC Crisis: Amos Jothan’s Records Not In Our Archive – NBA

The embattled Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State appeared to have been stripped naked as documents released by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Supreme Court of Nigeria shown that he may been parading himself as fake legal practitioner in Nigeria.

The Bayelsa APC Chairman, Jothan is said to be parading himself as a registered legal practitioner, however available records shown that his records are not with Nigeria legal institutions.

Records made available to Bight News in Abuja revealed that the embattled chairman is apparently a quack lawyer. A letter dated August 1st, 2019 signed by Gertrude B. Bari-Nyana ESQ for the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria has it that Amos Jothan details are not with the honorable court.

“We have checked our records and cannot find the name “Amos Jothan” on the numerous rolls of legal practitioners kept in this honourable court”, Supreme Court of Nigeria disclosed.

Adding that, “Amos Jothan is at liberty to come forward with his call to Bar certificate and qualifying certificate for enrollment.”

However, a letter dated August 1st, 2019 signed by the General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association revealed that the embattled chairman was not call to bar as claimed.

“The name Amos Jothan is not contained in the enrollment list of lawyers with the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

“I further confirm that the said mane is not contained in the Nigerian Bar Association database.” the NBA submitted.

Other sources alleged that the suspended chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Bayelsa State has no degree certificate as he was among those rusticated by management of Niger Delta University for gross misconduct, disobedience and disrespect for constituted authority.

Group however challenge the embattled chairman to show the his degree certificate and qualifying certificate as legal practitioner.
