Ben Bruce Reveals Why Nigerians Are Poor
Senator representing the people of Bayelsa East in the Nigerian Senate, Mr. Ben Murray Bruce has revealed why Nigerians are poor and what may happen years after now if the needful is not done.
The lawmaker revealed that Nigerians are poor because the Nigeria population is growing faster than the country’s economy. He stated this in a statement issued on his twitter handle.
He advised that Nigeria must introduce population control policies to slow population growth and hasten economic growth.
Bruce stated that if the country failed to control its population growth and hasten economic growth soon, Nigerians May not get out of the web of poverty.
His words “We are poor, majorly because our population is growing faster than our economy. We must introduce population control policies so we can slow population growth and hasten economic growth. If we do not do that and do it soon, I shudder to think of what will happen to Nigeria.”
