The Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) is presently receiving applications from suitably qualified applicants for the position of Chief Security Officer (CSO).

Bayelsa Medical University is a Bayelsa State-owned specialised medical institution recognised by the National Universities Commission that is mandated to produce the much needed medical and health professionals for the health sector of the country.

It’s located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Candidates for this position must be capable of developing and maintaining the appropriate security architecture that is capable of protecting lives of staff, students, residents and visitors on Campus and its surroundings as well the assets of the University.

𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗖 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Candidates applying for the position of Chief Security Officer must possess a minimum qualification of a good first degree in any field of study from a recognised University. The possession of higher degree will be an added advantage.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
In addition to the academic qualification as prescribed above, candidates for the position must have attained the rank of a Deputy Superintendent of Police and above or its equivalent in the Armed Forces, Nigerian Correctional Services, Department of State Security and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps as a serving or ex-service officer.

An intelligence and crime management background will also be an added advantage.

Candidates for the position of Chief Security Officer must also possess at least fifteen (15) years cognate working experience as a security personnel.

The salary would be based on the University structure of CONUSS 14.
The appointment would be for one term of five (5) years only
