Bight News reports that unidentified hoodlums have disfigured the face of a photographer identified as Mr. Matthew Eroutor, in Ogbia, the headquarters of Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. The terrible incidents that left many shocked, occurred at night while the victim was having his bath outside, at his residence.
According to eye witness reports, Mr. Mathew was attacked by three masked hoodlums in the night and left him almost dead, before concern individuals took him to Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa for treatment. Matthew Eroutor is an indigene of Delta state residing in Ogbia Town.
However, the Chairman of Ogbia Local Government Area, Hon Ebinyo Marvin Turner has condemned in strong terms, the attack on the photographer. He condemned the act which he described as barbaric while on unscheduled visit to the victim at the Federal Medical center(FMC)
after receiving an urgent call.
The Council Boss said
Security challenge in Ogbia will soon be a thing of the pass Ebinyo promised to bring the perpetrators of the evil act to book & Assured the family of the victim that this will be the last of such attack in the city,
However, Honorable Ebinyo enjoined everyone to reports criminal activities in their areas to security operatives, noting that security is everybody’s business. He added that no one knows who might be attacked tomorrow, as such all hands must be on deck to tackle insecurity in the area.
The victim is currently recuperating to treatment even as his medical bills for his complete treatments have been paid by the Local Government Area Chairman.
