There Is A Serious Controversy In Bayelsa As Policeman Allegedly Killed Bayelsan Bus Driver Over #100 In Rivers State.
A Bayelsan commercial bus driver, identified as Odeh Stephen (M), has been reportedly killed by a trigger happy police officer, along the Ahoada Area of East-West road, Rivers State.
According to reports from an eyewitness, the incident occurred on Thursday 4th of April 2019, at noon hours.
The eyewitness who demanded anonymity said, that gunshots were heard after the driver declined a request from the police officer as he drives off.
“The young man was driving NURTW Chaeiman’s motor. Getting to Ahoada area, police was extorting money from drivers. So he beat the line and drove away only for the police man to shot at him.
“He gave up the ghost after 15 minutes they rushed him to the hospital” a source said.
Bight News gathered that, the Victim is a popular Driver in the popular Yenagoa, Ekeki motor park, who is said to hail from Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa State.
The said police officer is reported to be in the police custody as investigations are on-going.
