…Urges INEC And Security Agencies To Be Professional And Unbiased In Their Discharge Of  Duties 

 

Bight Newspaper reports that immediate past National Spokesman of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe has urged Youths in Bayelsa State to shun attempts to lure them into election violence, asking them to ensure peaceful and orderly conduct during the November 11 Governorship poll.

Comrade Ekerefe, who reminded Bayelsa Youths of their commendable posture during the last Presidential, National and State Assembly elections, urged that the peaceful attitude should be sustained.

Ekerefe in a statement on social media on Thursday also called on the Nigerian Police and other security agencies to play their role in the Saturday’s election without any iota of bias and sponsored manipulations, warning that if the security of the poll is compromise, it may lead to violence and chaos.

He also called on the INEC to use these offseason elections in Kogi, Imo and particularly Bayelsa State to redeem their battered image and not allow deliquents within it’s fold to rubbish the elections in these states.

Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe, who is also the national leader of the New Era Political Movement and a member of the Publicity Committee of the State PDP Campaign Council, called on the electorates to dismiss the threats of violence and come out en masse to cast their votes peacefully for Sen Douye Diri and Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo during Saturday’s governorship polls.
