Bight Newspaper gathered that the Rivers State House of Assembly has begun an impeachment process against the Governor of the State, Siminalayi Fubara.

We learnt from TVC News that the members of the House of Assembly commenced the impeachment process around 8:00 a.m. on Monday at the legislative building.

It was also gathered that 24 out of 32 members of the House signed the impeachment notice against Governor Fubara.

The assembly has as well suspended the Leader of the House, Hon. Edison Ehie, and four other lawmakers over the arson attack on the House.

We also sourced that 24 out of 32 lawmakers removed Ehie and four others from their positions.
