…Anticipates Landslide Victory In The February 16Th Poll
The senatorial candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has assured the people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District a people-orientated representation when he wins the February 16th elections. Lawrence gave the assurance in Agbere community Sagbama local government area yesterday 24th January 2019, during the official campaign rally of the PDP.
Lawrence who solicited the supports of people of Bayelsa West for all the candidates of the People Democratic Party, said the government at the center has marginalised the people of Niger Delta and underdeveloped the region, particularly Bayelsa State. He said the people of Niger Delta, particularly Bayelsans have not had fair share of the proceed of production and sales of their resources.
Lawrence who faulted the sharing formula adopted by the Nigeria Government, said as a senatorial candidate, his agenda is to advocate for Nigeria restructuring in collaboration with his other colleagues in the National Assembly, adding that it’s only with restructuring, Nigeria can work again.
His words; “we need to have a Nigeria where those producing Cocoa, Groundnut, Palm, crude oil etc will have control of whatever they are producing and then pay royalty to the federal government”. According to the PDP senatorial candidate, Lawrence, before the Niger Delta Crude oil was discovered in large quantity, every region had had control of their resources and Nigeria was working; stressing the need to restructure Nigeria.
While addressing mammoth crowd in Agbere community which is not different in all the communities in Sagbama constituency III, visited by the Bayelsa West campaign organisation team, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo assured the people that with him as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, they will among other things have, infrastructural development, empowerment, job creation, bridge building, restructuring.
The communities visited include, Elemebiri, Asemabiri, Osifo, Osekwenike, Eperiware, Odoni and Agbere.
Stressing the need for Bayelsans to vote massively for all the candidates of People Democratic Party (PDP), in the forthcoming elections, Chief Francis Doukpola, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, Chief Collins, Vivian Prefa, and Alfred Kemepadei among others, expressed optimism that Nigeria will work again when the People Democratic Party (PDP) return to power, enjoining the people of Bayelsa West to deliver all the PDP candidates. Adding that the All Progressive Congress has failed Nigerians as a party.
In his words, Atiku Abubakar ably represented Collins Cocodia said, the APC led Federal Government has failed; that Buhari scored zero in all sectors of the economy.
