Sagbama: Alale Affirms Commitment To Enthrone Good Governance

Bayelsa – The Chairman elect, Embeleakpo P Alale has expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State for their immense supports and votes at the just concluded Local Government polls.
In a press statement made available to newsmen after receiving his certificate of return, Alale thanked elders, men, women, youths, traditional rulers and political stakeholders of Sagbama Local Government Area, for giving him their mandate at the just concluded Local Council polls.
He averred that his administration would enthrone a culture of good governance and effective service delivery driven by people oriented policies and programmes that would be beneficial to all indigenes, to justify the mandate given him by the People Democratic Party (PDP) and the People of Sagbama local government area in the state.

Sale affirmed that Sagbama local government area remains a stronghold of the PDP and urged the people to join hands with his incoming administration towards lifting the Local Government Area to enviable heights.
Alale applauded leadership of the PDP in the State, Gov Henry Seriake Dickson and the party chairman Hon. Moses Cleopas, for providing visionary leadership which has positioned the party as a formidable political platform in the state. He used the medium to commend The Bayelsa State Electoral Commission (BYSIEC), security agencies and the press for midwifying a hitch-free, credible and peaceful electoral process in Bayelsa State.
Recalled that BYSIEC had declared Embeleakpo Prosper Alale of the PDP winner of the just concluded chairmanship election in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State after polling a total of 96,468 votes to defeat his opponents. BYSIEC also declared PDP winner in the remaining seven (7) Local Government Areas, including councillors of 105 wards in the state.
