Bight News – Hopes of over 2,000 young Nigerians enlisted into the NPower scheme in 2016 have been reinvigorated by a statement released on the Npower twitter handle on Christmas Eve, that their stipends will be paid.
The 2016 beneficiaries had hoped that their December stipends would be paid on Christmas Eve to enable them take care of their upkeep during the yuletide.
But their expectations were cut short with an inevitable delay in payment. However, a tweet on the scheme twitter handle has reassured them of payment soonest.
The tweet reads in parts:
“Dear 2016 Beneficiaries,
Relax!
Your stipends will be paid ?”
There have been insinuations that the Npower scheme will be terminated by December 2019, though the presidency had said the scheme will be extended for the 2016 beneficiaries.
However, the Npower scheme tweeted that the pioneer beneficiaries are still on the programme.
“You are still on the programme”, Npower reaffirmed.
