The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Mr. Mathew Karimo seemed to have loss his stronghold, his home town the Adagbabiri Community to the People Democratic Party (PDP), as her candidate in Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the immediate past commissioner of works of works and infrastructure have been crowned

The pronouncement and decorations was made yesterday by HRH Arowell Diffa, the Amada-Owei II of the Adagbabiri community, in
in his in his sacred palace.
Diffa while conferring on Mr Ewhrudjakpo the exceptional traditional title noted that the decision was informed by his voluntary humanitarian service to humanity and his achievements as commissioner for work and infrastructure after wide consultations with all stakeholders.
Diffa said Mr. Lawrence’s efforts contributed to the development of Bayelsa state by the Dickson led restoration government, hence the need to bless him and give him a place in their traditional council and support him to win the forthcoming election in Bayelsa West senatorial district.
In his words: you have served the state well as the immediate past commissioner of works and infrastructure. You were instrumental to major infrastructure development in the state by the Dickson government.
“Today I crown you, the Amatolomo-Owei 1 of Adagbabiri community. You are an Engineer by actions and experience.”
The title “Amatolomo-Owei I” means the one saddle with responsibilities to make a community clean/ developed.
Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo had only visited the HRH Diffa’s palace to reach out to him, his council members and the Adagbabiri community, a programme he designed to give a sense of belonging to leaders in Bayelsa West senatorial district, having provided Christmas packages to all the major communities in the district. But got a chieftaincy title in appreciation for his kind gesture and contributions to Bayelsa development.
Those in Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo’s entourage include Mr. Solomon Agwana, DG, Bayelsa West PDP campaign organisation, Hon. Ekisah Sinkumo, Barr. Alex Dumbo, Mrs. Christy Ebele , Engr. Didi, Dr. Osusu, Hon Vivian Prefa, Chief Godwin Adokeme, Mr. Tams Alari among others.
