The Lagos State Police Command has exhumed the remains of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba known popularly as Mohbad, so that autopsy could be conducted.

Supritendent of Police Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development via a tweet on his official twitter handle on Thursday afternoon.

“Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence,” he tweeted

The PRO of the Lagos Police Command also confirmed that autopsy has commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of youngster.

Bight Newspaper also gathered from sources that Police have also arrested the nurse who treated Mohbad before his death.

The Lagos State Police Command had earlier set up a special investigative team to probe the death of Mohbad.

The investigation team is expected to submit an interim report within two weeks.

The job of the team is “to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim, identify witnesses, culprits if any and any person that will be helpful to the investigative process and deploy processes and other technological tools to aid the investigative course in line with the relevant provisions of the Nigeria Constitution and the State Laws”

The 27-year-old singer, who was a former signee of Naira Marley at Marlian Records, died last Tuesday.
