The former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has urged Muslims to pray for the peace of the nation as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.

Dr. Goodluck Jonathan took to his social media page to celebrate with fellow Nigerians as he encourages them to pray for peace and the prosperity of Nigeria.

“As the Muslim Ummah begin the holy month of Ramadan, I urge all our brothers and sisters to pray for the peace, health, and prosperity of our nation.”

The Ex-President also expressed optimism for the sanctification of the nation form the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

“It is my hope you all will achieve the purification of the soul in this holy month. May Allah accept your supplications and cause us to overcome all our challenges, especially COVID- 19.

GEJ” he stated.

Recall that Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from May 6th 2010 to May 29th 2015.
