…Says Sen. Douye/ Lawrence Candidacy Is For Consolidation And Prosperity
Ahead of the November 16th Governorship election in Bayelsa State, the running mate of the PDP Governorship candidate, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has enjoined young Bayelsans not to allow an inept govern Bayelsa State.
Sen. Lawrence who represented his boss, the PDP Guber candidate, Sen. Douye Diri in an inaugural/ solidarity rally organized by Diri/ Lawrence youth project held in Yenagoa on Friday 4th October 2019, stressed that the office of the Governor comes with enormous tasks. Adding that only those with proven track records in leadership and governance should be entrusted with the mandate to govern the state.
The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate said, a governor of a state receives and interacts with presidents and ambassadors of foreign countries; presents papers, budgets, policy documents and essentially articulate his manifesto and agenda to mammoth crowd and audience. Sen. Lawrence said, it’s only those who have shown capacity and competency can function effectively as a Governor, enjoining Bayelsans not to vote anyone capable of bringing monumental disgrace and embarrassment to Bayelsa State.
According to Sen. Lawrence, the candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 16th Poll, Sen. Douye Diri is a vibrant Bayelsan with proven track records whose agenda is to advance development beyond what the Dickson led administration has done, to a level where Bayelsans would prosper. He enjoined Bayelsan elites to canvass supports for People Democratic Party.
Earlier, Hon. Collins Cocodia, Honorable Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity, DG Operations, Douye Diri Campaign Organisation, who represented Dr. Nimibofa Ayawei, the Campaign DG Douye Diri Campaign Organisation, while inaugurating the group led by Barr. Ayebakuro Igbeta, charged the members of the team to propagate the Douye/ Lawrence candidacy to their brothers and sisters, parents, loved ones and everyone in their communities across Bayelsa State.
Hon. Cocodia said the duo of Sen. Douye Diri and Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo will build on the achievements of the Dickson led administration and take Bayelsa State to the next level of progress and prosperity. He said the duo have served Bayelsa state meritoriously and with their track records he’s confident that they will make Bayelsa State proud.
The coordinator of the group, Barr. Igbeta in a brief remark vowed to work with his team, mobilise supports massively for the victory of Sen. Douye Diri and Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo candidacy come November 16th.
