…Behests Suspension Of Campaign Activities On Cyberspace In Deference Of The Decease
The Candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 16th Governorship Polls in Bayelsa State, Sen. Douye Diri have commiserated with the family of a Bayelsan Social Media Influencer (SMI), Prince Elayo Ekete over the sudden demise of their son who was involved in a motor accident along East – West Road yesterday, on their way back to Yenagoa, the Capital of Bayelsa State.
In a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of PDP Social Media Crew, Bayelsa State, Clement Ovokeroye Paul, quoted the Senator representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, Sen. Douye Diri to have described the death of his constituent as a great loss not only to his immediate families, but also to him and host of his peers and associates in the New Media Community and elsewhere. Sen. Diri while praying God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss, console both family members and colleagues to take solace in the knowledge that his constituent, Elayo was a sociable fellow as he was duly informed.
Consequently, Sen. Douye Diri however behested team of social media influencers, particularly members of the PDP Social Media Crew led by Mr. Perekebena Okoyen, canvassing supports for his candidacy on cyberspace to suspend campaign activities on their online platforms throughout tomorrow – Monday 16th September 2019, in deference of the departed Soul. He also prayed God to grant other victims of the accident hospitalized, quick recuperation.
