…Calls On Youths To Look Beyond Party Lines And Join Gov Diri To Develop, Prosper The State 

 

Bight Newspaper understands that Youths of Bayelsa State, has on Sunday gathered for an end of year get together and in celebration of the largely peaceful conduct of the Nov.11th gubernatorial election in the state.

The end of year gathering that held at the Secretariat of the Prosperity Youth Coalition(PYC) organised at its instance, saw youths gather across party divide to celebrate oneness and love in the state.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Doubra Komouku, the Director General of the body, commended the display of maturity and sense of responsibility in the course of the electioneering season, and thanked Bayelsans for opting to stay with Diri/Lawrence and trusting them with our common destiny for another term of 4 years as Governor and Deputy, stating that it is the aim of the PYC to continue galvanizing support for the government and its program/policies through various Youths enlightenment and empowerment activities.

He urged that the elections are over, it is now time to mend fences and broken bridges for the singular purpose of putting Bayelsa state first (a driving principle of the Prosperity administration as led by Gov. Diri), hence the urgent need for all to join the Governor and his Workaholic Deputy and work collectively to assist the government succeed in this all important task of state building.

It was a scene of merriment and jubilation as attendees poured praises and expressed expectations for the forth coming term.

The PYC used the opportunity of the occasion to all wish all Bayelsa Youths a memorable Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Happy 2024 in advance, and also announce that the YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT it is putting up is already at an advanced stage of planning and that registration forms would be made available free of charge to all Youths wishing to serve in any capacity by second week of January, 2023, and urged youths to prepare to take advantage of the summit in other to acquire/ build capacity and sharpens their skills in administration, which will prepare them better on manning various governmental offices, and more especially in the running of corporate/private transactions in their individual lives.

Youths and artisanal union members drawn from across the state irrespective of party leaning were treated to a Novelty Football Match followed by a merriment accompanied with the best melodies from various Bayelsa artists as they gathered for the first time after the very hectic campaigns.
