ABUJA-Bight Newspaper reports that a Ministerial nominee, Abbas Balarabe from Kaduna State, on Wednesday, collapsed while explaining his profile at the Senate.

Balarabe was the second to be screened for confirmation, but fainted shortly after he took turns to be screened by lawmakers.

Immediately he fainted, the Sergeant-At-Arms ordered journalists out of the Chambers.

It was also gathered that Senator representing Adamawa North, Ishaku Abbo rushed him to the National Assembly Clinic to seek for medical attention.

A wheel chair was immediately rushed to the Chamber as he could not be revived to walk by himself.

Recall that the nominee was to replace the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, who was declined confirmation due to security concerns.
